Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal's visit to India deepens long-standing ties.

 Since taking office in December 2022, Prachanda has highlighted that the new administration would maintain 'balanced and trustworthy' relations with India, with no substantial shifts in policy. 

On May 31, Nepal's Prime Minister, Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda,' started on a four-day visit to New Delhi in a crucial diplomatic step.

The Nepal Prime Minister took office in December 2022. The choice to make India his first international visit highlights the two countries' historical links and represents a shift from his earlier position. Many regard Prachanda as a pro-China person, and his travel to India conveys a significant message emphasising Nepal's everlasting ties with its closest and greatest partner. 

Prachanda has highlighted that the new administration will be transparent after taking office in December 2022.
